Meet Ricky and Casey, Your Host and Co-host
Camp Creek Vacation Rentals began with a simple conversation...
When Ricky shared his vision for Camp Creek with me, I didn’t hesitate. I could see it too. I was all in from the very beginning, and before long I was down at the creek building glamping tents, clearing trails, carrying rocks and bringing his dream to life one project at a time.
I can remember taking the very first photo of the old hollow tree that would eventually inspire Hollow Tree Trail. But one of my favorite memories was Ricky’s dog, Mocha, she was right there beside me during the build, almost every day, persistently bringing me sticks that were far too big for anyone to throw. She quickly became part of the story of Camp Creek, reminding us to slow down, laugh, and enjoy the little moments. Toward the end of the build sweet mocha had to have hip surgery and can no longer fetch sticks from the creek. She is back home Where she can relax and not be tempted to jump in the creek.
As Camp Creek grew, so did my role. What started as helping build the campground turned into becoming the housekeeper for Camp Creek and welcoming our guests. Along the way, Ricky and I became good friends. Whenever he had a new idea or a vision for the property, I seemed to know exactly what he was imagining. I’ve built rustic furniture for several of the properties. I’ve created signs and made a few changes, that hopefully, make the cabins feel as much like home as possible . Together, Ricky and I have built fences, created cozy spaces, solved problems, (sometimes frantically) and keep finding ways to make Camp Creek feel a little more like home. And I can say something I’ve never been able to say and that is… I love my job!
Today, I’m proud to serve as Camp Creek’s co-host and Property Manager (and website designer lol) helping care for every cabin, glamping tent, RV site, and the guests who stay here.
We”ll save a spot by the campfire for you.
